Held on May 29th the HP Annual Partners Event 2019 was actually different from any other of this kind we have done in the past: This year we had to meet the challenge of giving it a celebratory fell, as it coincided with Hewlett-Packard’s 80th birthday. For such a special occasion for a global leader in technology, we chose a marvellous space: the atmospheric Gaia Center at the Goulandris Natural History Museum in Kifissia, is renowned for exuding a spirit of history and elegance, combined with a deep affection for nature and evolution.
In the pleasant outdoor atmosphere of a warm spring night, we managed to create an environment filled with the HP “air”: We used the special HP 80th birthday motto “It’s in our DNA”, to set up the stage scene in a minimal, yet impressive aesthetic. By creating a stunning 3D rendering of a DNA helix, we aimed at giving a sense of perpetual motion and creativity, as representing the core of HP innovation and technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere.
Of course, an 80th birthday party could only have the necessary vintage touches, reflecting moments from HP’s journey through time. All in all, the story started in a one-car garage in Palo Alto, the place where Bill Hewlett and David Packard began producing a line of original electronic equipment. Collaborating with the Hellenic Museum of Technology, we succeeded in recreating this legendary garage, equipping it with cutting-edge vintage devices that marked the history of a company destined to become one of the world’s leading technology manufacturers.
Moreover, based on one of the first HP products, the oscillator used by Walt Disney to support surround sound systems for the movie Fantasia, we used the soundtrack of this legendary animated film to kick-off the evening in an emotionally affecting, festive mood.
Following the highly interesting introductions and presentations given by HP executives, the event has been highlighted by the bright award ceremony, for some of the priceless HP partners that stood out in 2018. The Gaia Center garden was then ready to offer its guests some refreshing cocktails and delicious finger food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere just before the start of summer. Given that the duration of the event exceeded 6 hours and the guests’ departure was completed shortly after midnight, it seems more than certain that our guests enjoyed a wonderful time.
